The index checker can be used to see the number of pages crawled, indexed, and ranked within a specific range of dates given. It also has an option to export a csv file with all the data.
Checking index status provides useful insights into how content is performing in Google search results. The tool is not as accurate as Google's own URL Search Tool because it only crawls one domain at a time and also may be slow or produce inaccurate results.
A good way to use this tool would be to compare rankings for variations of the same page - for example: Home Page v/s Blog Page or checkout page v/s product page.
